ILLINOIS COURSES OFFERED
Congratulations on deciding to get your ILLINOIS Concelaed Carry License. We are honored to be able to help you learn about firearm safety, and provide you with the necessary skills and information to obtain your Concealed Carry permit.
All of our courses are taught by NRA Certified Trainers and are held in multiple venues across the Chicagoland area.
We offer Three (3) different ways for you to attend one of our firearm traning courses;

You can attend one of the classes that we teach out and around the Chicagoland area.

We will hold a class at your location, throughout Illinois, if you have 25 people or more. We do this for service organizations, businesses, unions, clubs and private groups. If you are the individual who organizes the class in your area and you have at least 25 people to attend, you can attend the class for FREE (and you can be the 25th person, so you only need 24 more). If we hold a class at your location, you will need to provide a place to hold the class, it can be most anywhere (even a home) as long as there is a white wall for projection overheads. You will need to provide a legal shooting location, such as a gun club, shooting range, or even a farm in the country that allows the shooting of pistols.

We can arrange a private training session at your home, an area shooting range, or any custom setting.
ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT (CPL, CCW)
State Approved 16 Hour Curriculum - meets all the
requirements set forth in Section 75 of the Illinois
Concealed Carry Act.
This is the class you need to get your ILLINOIS Concealed Carry License. Upon completing this course you will meet the requirements and be qualified to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License, sometimes referred to as a CPL or CCW.
Curriculum includes:
- FIREARM SAFETY
- PRINCIPALS OF MARKSMANSHIP
- CARE, CLEANING, UNLOADING, & LOADING A CONCEALED FIREARM
- ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS RELATING TO OWNERSHIP, STORAGE,
CARRY, & TRANSPORTATION OF A FIREARM
- FIREARM HANDLING
In addition to taking this class, students will be required pass a LIVE FIRE shooting qualification test in order to obtain thier Illinois Conceal Carry Permit. You will have to shoot 30 rounds at a B-27 target, 10 rounds at 15 feet, 10 rounds at 21 feet, and 10 rounds at 30 feet. To pass the range part you must hit the target 21 times as required to obtain your Illinois Conceal Carry Permit, You will be responsible for the range fees, and you will have to supply your own firearm and ammunition.
** It is highly recomended that you practice this shooting exercise on a shooting range prior
to coming to class.
This class is taught by a NRA Certified Firearm's Instructor.
Students with minimum handgun experience are welcome in our Concelaed Carry Classes. The lack of experience is not mandatory to the participation in the Concealed Carry Class. There are lots of people that have attended our classes that have not fired a handgun in their life. Our instructors will work with anyone, at any level of shooting experience, to help them sharpen their skills and be completely comfortable handling & shooting a firearm accurately and safely!

NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION OUTSIDE THE HOME
This course teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. It is comprehensive and intensive in its approach to equip the defensive shooting candidate with the skills needed to survive serious adversity. Students have the opportunity to attend this course using a quality strong side hip holster that covers the trigger, or a holster purse. From a review of safe firearms handling and proper mindset to presentation from concealment and multiple shooting positions, this course contains the essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation.
PRIVATE TRAINING
Those who cannot attend a scheduled course date, or want to take the class alone or with a group of friends/relatives/coworkers, prefer more personalized training, or require anonymity should consider a private class. The Illinois Concealed Carry Class can be conducted anywhere that is convenient for you. We will bring all the necessary supplies to your location, and the class can be completed in one session or over several - at your convenience.
We also understand and respect your privacy. Many people in the public eye prefer to keep this process as discrete as possible and MIDWEST FIREARM TRAINING can help with that. We have had many politicians, legal professionals, clergy, and other public figures through our private lessons so we fully understand the importance of discretion in these matters.
Private sessions offer a higher level of attention, and you can choose your own group so you are surrounded by familiar faces (a nice thing when handling firearms), as well as a longer period of live fire time. We have a 100% satisfaction rate and intend to keep it that way. We normally hold these classes over a two day period, and can go to your local shooting range, gun club, etc. to conduct the live fire drills & qualification. On average, we are booked 5+ weeks in advance for all private classes. (10 person minimum)

WOMEN ONLY DEFENSIVE HANDGUN COURSE

MIDWEST FIREARM TRAINING instructors understand the training needs for the female gun owner. We will teach the female shooter how to safely use and maintain their firearms, how to handle and avoid potentially dangerous situations, and target accuracy. This course is presented to the female shooter in a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment, where the instructors relate to you on a personal level.
This is a 2-day (16 to 18 hour) course that will insure the female gun owner will be proficient in the use and handling of their firearms. Day one of this course will be spent in the classroom discussing firearms safety for the home, workplace, and vehicle. We will also cover self-defense strategies for women, defensive firearm tactics, and danger avoidance.
Day 2 will be spent on the range teaching the fundamentals of safe gun handling skills, presentation, sight alignment, and loading/unloading of semi-auto handguns and revolvers. This portion of the course will be taught using blue guns (safe guns) until the female shooter is comfortable with their firearm.
We welcome groups! Many times women will come to our course as group, either as friends, a social club, as co-workers, etc. This is a great and fun way to learn, as well as being in a familiar and supportive environment. Sign-up 5 or more students for a group class and your tuition is free!
