
ILLINOIS CCW COURSE





ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY PERMIT (CPL, CCW)
State Approved 16 Hour Curriculum - meets all the
requirements set forth in Section 75 of the Illinois
Concealed Carry Act.
This is the class you need to get your ILLINOIS Concealed Carry License. Upon completing this course you will meet the requirements and be qualified to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry License, sometimes referred to as a CPL or CCW.
Curriculum includes:
- FIREARM SAFETY
- PRINCIPALS OF MARKSMANSHIP
- CARE, CLEANING, UNLOADING, & LOADING A CONCEALED FIREARM
- ALL STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS RELATING TO OWNERSHIP, STORAGE,
CARRY, & TRANSPORTATION OF A FIREARM
- FIREARM HANDLING
In addition to taking this class, students will be required pass a LIVE FIRE shooting qualification test in order to obtain thier Illinois Conceal Carry Permit. You will have to shoot 30 rounds at a B-27 target, 10 rounds at 15 feet, 10 rounds at 21 feet, and 10 rounds at 30 feet. To pass the range part you must hit the target 21 times as required to obtain your Illinois Conceal Carry Permit, You will be responsible for the range fees, and you will have to supply your own firearm and ammunition.
** It is highly recomended that you practice this shooting exercise on a shooting range prior
to coming to class.
This class is taught by a NRA Certified Firearm's Instructor.
Students with minimum handgun experience are welcome in our Concelaed Carry Classes. The lack of experience is not mandatory to the participation in the Concealed Carry Class. There are lots of people that have attended our classes that have not fired a handgun in their life. Our instructors will work with anyone, at any level of shooting experience, to help them sharpen their skills and be completely comfortable handling & shooting a firearm accurately and safely!
