Armed robber killed by licensed CPL holder during hold up at southwest Detroit Coney Island

As with any armed robbery, there is no guarantee that the robbers aren't going to still kill you after you comply with their demands. In this case, the robbers shot the UNARMED store owner for no reason as he was attempting to give them the money from the cash register. Thank god a Licensed CPL holder was in the restaurant and took action. If not, it is very likely that the robbers would have killed all 6 people that were in the small restaurant.

Anti-gun activists are naive to think that if you just comply with the robber and do what he or she says... then they will just take what they want and go away, leaving you unharmed. The FBI's own crime statistics show that you have less than a 50% chance of survivng an armed robbery even if you comply.

For me personally, I prefer the much better odds... and common sense approach... of taking a more proactive & direct role in my personal safety by carrying a concealed pistol! No one ever wants to be faced with having to shoot someone in self-defense, and possibly taking another's life in the process. But... all things considered, its better than ending up dead!
