LANSING CPL HOLDER JUSTIFIED IN RANDOM "KNOCK OUT" GAME ATTACK SHOOTING

A Lansing man, who is also a licensed Concealed Pistol Carrier, thwarted an attempted violent attack by a Lansing teen who was playing "Knock Out", a game in which urban youth single out an unsuspecting non-urban target, and try to blind side them with a knockout punch, or in this case, a taser attack. Fortunately for the intended victim in this case (and unfortunately for the attacking teen), he was a licensed CPL holder and was able to quickly respond to the attack by firing two shots at the teen, and incapacitating him before he could succesfully engage the taser.
As citizens in this day and age, we never know when we may face a violent attack. We could be alone, with our spouse or significant other, with our children, or in this case, waiting at the bus stop for your daughter to come home from school. We must be trained and prepared at all times for the unexpected, especially when it involves our personal safety, or the safety of our loved ones. Even if you live in a safe community with a quick police response time, the police aren't going to be there at the moment the violent act occurs. They will only arrive AFTER the fact... after the damage has been done and 911 has finally been called.
It is for this reason that I encourage everyone reading this, if you haven't done so already, take an approved firearm safety & personal protection course from a certified NRA instructor and get your Concealed Carry Permit (CPL). For a little more than a hundred dollars and 8 hours of your time, you will get invaluable skills that could save your life someday.
